| Summary: | The thesis examines the effect of parental deprivation of liberty on the lives of children and adolescents in the Deprivation of Liberty Center (CPL) Loja 1, where despite its use to address social and criminal problems, this deprivation can cause emotional and behavioral disorders and poor school performance in children. The justification of the research is based on its relevance for the emotional and psychological well-being of children, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and in the line of social and behavioral studies. The objectives seek to analyze the socioemotional affectations in children and adolescents due to the deprivation of liberty of their parents in CPL Loja 1 in 2022-2023. The specific objectives address socioeducational changes, socioemotional impacts on the family and offer recommendations to mitigate these effects. The methodology combines qualitative and quantitative approaches, using thematic and exploratory descriptive analysis to understand the effects and changes in the educational and family environment. The results show that parental deprivation of liberty has a great emotional and family impact on children and adolescents. This negatively affects their emotional and behavioral well-being, generating the need for psychosocial support. The results are consistent with previous research and are linked to the Sustainable Development Goals. However, it is cautioned that they should be considered in the specific context of CPL Loja 1 and may be influenced by biases. The conclusions emphasize the negative impact of deprivation of liberty on the lives of these minors, highlighting the importance of comprehensive approaches to address their emotional and psychological well-being. |
