| Sumari: | This curricular integration work was carried out in the sport training school of the National University of Loja (Universidad Nacional de Loja) with the objective to implement playful activities to improve the development of basic motor skills. The study was mixed, of descriptive and correlational type, and experimental design. In addition, some methods such as scientific, deductive, inductive, statistical and comparative were used. A test was applied to the sample of 15 children. According to the results obtained in the initial test, it is evident that in locomotor, non-locomotor and manipulation skills, they have a regular level. Taking into consideration these results, a proposal based on the basic motor skills was designed and implemented during 8 weeks, including playful, physical and motor activities. Then, a final test was applied, obtaining these findings: regarding the locomotor abilities, 17% of children have a regular level, 66% have a good level and 17% have an excellent level; the non-locomotor abilities show similar results, that is, 17% are in a regular level, 66% in a good level and 17% are in an excellent level. With respect to manipulation skills, 20% have a regular level, 60% a good level and 20% have an excellent level. Therefore, positive changes were obtained in every motor ability; thus, it is concluded that before the application of the proposal, there were regular levels in the basic motor capabilities and lack of skills; however, in the final test it is evident an improvement in these abilities, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposal of basic motor skills for the multilateral development. keywords: Basic motor skills, playful activities, locomotor abilities, non-locomotor abilities and manipulation skills. |
