description This thesis has the general objective, design Marketing Plan for green valley Hotel in the city of Catamayo. Considering it as a valid tool to organize activities thereof, and decision making for better positioning in the market. To achieve goals, it was necessary to use two methods, the inductive method which departed from particular facts to reach general laws, allowing to make the internal analysis in order to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the company, likewise the deductive method was used in order to make the external and competitive to identify opportunities and threats analysis techniques used were: observation, interview and survey through which information could be obtained about customer behavior and thus complement the current diagnosis of green valley Hotel. In the results it was established that the green valley Hotel the has opportunities as growth of the Ecuadorian economy in the tourism sector, increase the number of tourists nationwide, access of foreign tourists to our country, Development of tourism and hospitality to nationally and technology and computing innovation; and it has threats such as increased competition with services Existence of several hotel companies, Alto bargaining power of customers in the hotel services, unfair competition and other lodging establishments Disloyalty by customers. In the competitive analysis it was determined that the company has a market positioning 2.72, this has been achieved thanks to the success factors as: Quality 6 customer service, Market Share, and strategic location. Its direct competitors are: Hotel Reina del Cisne, South Encanto Hotel and the Hotel Granada. The internal analysis could determine the strengths as: Strategic location, the hotel has its own local citizenship offers affordable prices, services provided by the hotel are timely and good relationship manager-employee; so it could be determined weaknesses such as: It has no marketing plan does not own a computer system to carry the digital control of sales, lack advertising in recognized media, does not provide staff training and Lack improve facilities at the hotel. Also with the help of the swot matrix could identify strategies and strategic objectives of the marketing plan that the hotel must apply in order to enhance development in the hotel industry. For the development of this essential marketing plan and relevant parameters consisting of objectives, policies, tactics, budget and finance, for each of the proposed strategic objectives continued. Finally conclusions and recommendations that have been reached based on the analysis in the green valley Hotel, expected to be welcomed and implemented by the owner, so that the company can take advantage of a better way resources are made with that account. So it is recommended to implement this marketing plan, considering the situation assessment and internal, external and strategic objective factors.

Considerándolo como una herramienta válida que permita organizar las actividades del mismo, y la toma de decisiones para un mejor posicionamiento en el mercado. Para el logro de objetivos, fue necesario el uso de dos métodos, el método inductivo con el que se partió de hechos particulares hasta llegar a leyes generales, permitiendo realizar el análisis interno, con el fin de identificar las fortalezas y debilidades de la empresa, así mismo se utilizó el método deductivo con el fin de realizar el análisis externo y competitivo para identificar las oportunidades y amenazas, las técnicas que se utilizaron fueron: la observación, la entrevista y la encuesta a través de las cuales se pudo obtener información acerca del comportamiento de los clientes y de esta forma complementar el diagnóstico actual del Hotel Valle Verde. En los resultados se estableció que el Hotel Valle Verde, tiene oportunidades como: Crecimiento de la economía ecuatoriana en el sector turístico, Incremento del número de turistas a nivel nacional, Acceso de turistas extranjeros a nuestro país, Fomento de la actividad turística y hotelera a nivel nacional e Innovación tecnológica e informática; así mismo tiene amenazas como: Competencia con incremento de servicios, Existencia de varias empresas hoteleras, Alto poder de negociación de los clientes en los servicios hoteleros , Competencia desleal de 3 otros establecimientos de hospedaje y Deslealtad por parte de los clientes. En el análisis competitivo se determinó que la empresa tiene un posicionamiento en el mercado con un total ponderado de 2.72, esto se ha logrado identificar gracias a los factores determinantes de éxito como: Competitividad, Calidad de servicio al cliente, Participación en el mercado, y Ubicación estratégica. Sus competidores directos son: Hotel Reina del Cisne, el Hotel Encanto del Sur y el Hotel Granada. En el análisis interno se pudo determinar las fortalezas como: Ubicación Estratégica, El hotel tiene local propio, Ofrece a la ciudadanía precios cómodos, Los servicios que presta el hotel son oportunos y Buena relación Gerente-Empleados; así mismo se pudo determinar las debilidades tales como: No cuenta con Plan de Marketing, No posee un sistema informático para llevar el control digital de las ventas, Falta publicidad en medios reconocidos, No brinda capacitación al personal y Falta mejorar las instalaciones del hotel. Así mismo con la ayuda de la matriz FODA, se pudo identificar las estrategias y objetivos estratégicos del plan de marketing que el Hotel debe aplicarlas con el fin de mejorar el desarrollo en la industria hotelera. Para el desarrollo del presente plan de marketing se siguió parámetros esenciales y pertinentes que consta de objetivos, metas, tácticas, políticas, presupuesto y financiamiento, para cada uno de los objetivos estratégicos propuestos. Finalmente se formularon las conclusiones y recomendaciones a las que se ha llegado en base al análisis realizado en el Hotel Valle Verde, que se espera sean acogidas e implementadas por el propietario, con el fin de que la empresa pueda aprovechar de una mejor manera los recursos con los que cuenta.
