| Samenvatting: | Among the different activities that give rise to the economic and social development of populations worldwide, agriculture is one of the fundamental ones, since the feeding of millions of people depends on it. In Ecuador, especially in the province of Loja, Zapotillo and Pindal canton, one of the most important crops is corn, since it is linked to the culture and identity of indigenous people. Corn is one of the most important crops because it provides nutrients for human and animal nutrition. One of the problems faced by farmers are the implications that are directly linked to the lack of technology and climate, since corn crops are affected by temperature variations and the lack of technology implementation, causing a decrease in crop yields and causing losses to farmers in the sector. Therefore, this project proposes to design and implement a monitoring system for variables such as solar radiation, CO2, PH and soil nitrogen that affect the crop. The proposed system consists of sensor network which will be responsible for acquiring data on the agroecological conditions of the corn crop, a user-friendly web interface for managing the stored information, and a pHotovoltaic renewable energy system. The results indicate that this system is a support tool that allows farmers to make decisions to improve crop development and production, as well as to carry out actions to avoid or minimize crop diseases and pests.
