| Zusammenfassung: | The present research was conducted to know the eating habits and cultural factors during the period of menstruation in adolescents of the Calasanz Education Unit. The study was descriptive and cross-sectional, using the survey instrument applied to 150 students from the diversified cycle whose ages are between 15-19 years during the year 2014. According to the results landed in eating habits 82% is based on restrictions or prohibitions of certain foods, the most common are avocados, citrus fruits and milk. Regard cultural factors in the study of terminology, care and belief was determined that the terms used are 29% rule and I'm sick, most of the teens said with 21% not having sex, followed by 20% in care with medicinal plants; regarding beliefs have argued during menstruation with 31% not make babies and 21% do not make salad cream and do not touch the plants.
