Tóm tắt:The present study determine the prevalence of partial edentulism according to the Kennedy classification of the students of the National University of Loja, in the modality, in the period May to July 2014. The study sample of 237 students partially edentulous, female and male, legally registered in any career that offers of Universidad Nacional de Loja, who presented partial edentulism. The instrument used for the collection of diagnostic stomatognatic students was previously designed and developed Dental Medical History. Whereby the sample of students with partial edentulism was obtained. Among the main results we found that of the upper arches class was the most prevalent class III corresponding to 86.2% and were less prevalent class I and IV with 3.4% respectively. While the lower arches was the most prevalent class corresponding to the class III 90.9%, and was less prevalent Class IV corresponds to 0.6%. In this study the presence of partially edentulous in the lower arch is higher than in the upper arch of the students. Women have higher edentulism than men.
