Riassunto:This research work has as main objective to analyze the relationship between family breakdown and early initiation into alcohol use of students; and specific: To determine the functionality of Families dominate the group of students, diagnosing the presence of alcohol, set the self-esteem of the students and propose a plan for Therapeutic Intervention Psychoeducational and cognitive behavioral approach to therapy students and parents. The methodology used was quantitative-descriptive-analytic, with a sample of 51 students; instruments applied were: FAMILY APGAR to assess functional or dysfunctional families, Test of Audit, to assess alcohol consumption in students. Esteem Questionnaire to assess the levels of it, The results indicate that there is family dysfunction and alcohol consumption in students causing low self-esteem. Dysfunctional or broken family has much to early initiation of psychotropic substances in this case alcohol. Given this psychological intervention plan is proposed in order to improve family relationships and thus reduce alcohol consumption in students.
