The purpose of this research was to identify the degrees of depression, anxiety and stress, calculate the cardiovascular risk in the next 10 years, according to sex and age group, and establish its correlation in patients treated at the Chontacruz Health Center, Loja. A quantitative, cross-sectional approach was adopted in a sample of 100 patients, by applying the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21) and the PAHO Cardiovascular Risk Calculator. Obtaining that, 42% (n=42) presented degrees of depression between mild and severe, 24% (n=24) anxiety between mild and extreme and 56% (n=56) stress levels between mild and severe, with frank female predominance and age group of 50-59 and 60-69 years. When estimating cardiovascular risk, 55% (n=55) registered low risk, with a higher rate for females between 50-59 years of age. When relating the variables by calculating the Chi Square, with a value of 4.59 for depression and 9.85 for anxiety, no statistically significant relationship was found, contrary to 34.34 for stress, which did show statistical dependence. Concluding that depression and anxiety do not influence the development of cardiovascular risk, unlike stress, which does predispose to its establishment
