| Sumario: | The family being the natural and fundamental element of this society provides for its basic character members for their overall performance within society is so the present research work entitled, THE FAMILY AND ITS INFLUENCE IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS OF CHILDREN AND INTERVENTION SOCIAL WORKER, given in the Municipal Education Unit Tierras Coloradas the City of Loja, during the period September 2013 - February 2014, had as its main objective to promote the active participation of the family in the educational process of their children through intervention worker social, making each member complies with specific functions to facilitate the full involvement of parents in the academic process of their clients. The specific research goals allowed substantiate theories related to family, education and social work, taking into account the characteristics, educational environment and identifying practices, visions, and expectations of family education, to make a diagnosis of family and rediscover what the degree of involvement is in the academic progress of their children. This is developed and implemented a proposal for social intervention that linked the family to the education of their children, the same that were fulfilled during the research process as visible results giving the active participation of parents. The sample considered was 28 students, 28 parents and 12 teachers, their approach was quantitatively and qualitatively, the results revealed that parents attach little importance to the education of their children, but lack the necessary conditions to drive the process, their educational practices, resources, habits, time responsibilities are limited, which is an obstacle to successful learning in their children. That reviewed all information from the investigative process could be reached to conclusions and appropriate recommendations, which allowed the search for other ways to continue promoting family involvement in the educational process of their children |
