| Sumari: | Currently, enterprises face multiple challenges due to the competitive environment in which they operate, with a crucial factor being a lack of knowledge to carry out projects that evaluate the feasibility of starting a business. This results in entrepreneurs not taking full advantage of the business opportunities that exist today. In order to assess the market, technical, and financial feasibility of the project, it has been proposed to develop a feasibility study for the production of jam in the parish of Malacatos and its commercialization in the city of Loja. The study is descriptive, non-experimental, using observation, survey, and interview techniques as well as a mixed approach. According to the market study, there is an unsatisfied demand for 101,187 pounds of handmade jam for the first year; in the technical study, it is anticipated to produce 59,020 units of 200 grams annually, remaining constant during the life of the project. In the financial study it was determined that an investment of 39,468.43 dollars is required, in addition to the financial indicators where the Net Present Value (NPV) is 25,002.42 dollars, and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 33. 09%; the Cost-Benefit Ratio of 0.39 cents for each dollar invested, a Capital Recovery Period of 2 years, 6 months and 22 days, and a Sensitivity Analysis with an increase in costs of 17.73% and a decrease in income of 12.72%. On the basis of the results, it is concluded that the project is feasible for implementation. |
