Sumari:The technological advances that have taken place over the last forty years have caused and conditioned the significant increase in research and developed experiences on the use of new technologies, mainly in the educational process, so it was considered important to investigate on the construction and application of multimedia teaching tools for meaningful learning. The general objective was raised to analyze the relationship of multimedia teaching tools in meaningful learning in the numeric keypad area mathematics of eighth grade students of Basic General Education private school Dr. José María Vivar Castro of the city of Loja. Period 2013 - 2014. The research was descriptive, correlational and explanatory kind. He held a mixed quantitative qualitative approach. Methods as scientific, analytical, synthetic, deductive, inductive, descriptive, and the statistical model was used. Survey structured with a series of questions, which were standardized and aimed at teachers and students was used for data collection; instruments showed that teachers consider 50% always the multimedia teaching tools help in the subject of mathematics to achieve meaningful learning in Dicent. Around 85% students indicated that it is always necessary to train them in the use of multimedia teaching tools; results that allow argue that multimedia teaching tools, used appropriately and in a planned way, contribute to achieving meaningful learning.
