| Περίληψη: | Cocoa is a crop of great importance because it represents a significant contribution to the national economy, and has managed to position itself internationally for its flavor and aroma, however, in Ecuador low crop yields are recorded, since there are factors that limit its production, as is the low technology in production processes and poor agronomic management, in addition, there are very few studies in relation to the new varieties, especially with climatic conditions of the Ecuadorian Amazon, specifically Zamora Chinchipe. The present investigation was carried out with the objective of evaluating the effect of shading and fertilization on the agronomic performance of cocoa clone EETP 800, in the province of Zamora Chinchipe. This study was carried out at the "El Padmi" Experimental Station, in Zamora Chinchipe, in a 2-year-old cacao crop, under a completely randomized design with a bifactorial arrangement, where the effect of two levels of shade and two levels of fertilization applied in four treatments with four repetitions: control T1 (0% shade and 0% fertilization), T2 fertilization (0% shade and 100% fertilization), T3 shade (80% shade and 0% fertilization) and T4 shade -fertilization (80% shade and 100% fertilization). Morpho-physiological variables were measured such as: crown diameter, trunk cross-sectional area (ASTT), leaf area index (IAF), soil pH and electrical conductivity (EC) and productive variables such as: entry into production, length of the fruit, estimated average weight of the fruit, estimated production per plant and absolute growth rate (TCA) and relative growth rate (RGR) of the fruit, the data of these variables were collected every 20 days, while variables such as: concentration of chlorophyll A, B and Total, density and stomatal index, these data were collected at the end of the trial (105 days). The results obtained indicated that the factors of shade, fertilization and the interaction of shade-fertilization did not significantly influence the morpho-physiological variables, except for the cross-sectional area of the trunk and electrical conductivity of the soil, where the latter increased due to fertilization treatments. The results suggest that the decrease in radiation does not affect the growth of this clone, so the use of shade is not necessary, at least under the conditions of this experiment. Key words: Morpho-physiological, productive, shade, fertilization. |
