Summary:In this titulation work, the repowering of the steam plant practice bench of the fluids laboratory of the FEIRNNR was developed. 3D modeling and DAQ data acquisition and thermal simulation were carried out in order to compare the internal and surface temperatures of the heat exchangers, the same validated by a DAQ system. The methodology used was based on a detailed technical description with parameters necessary for 3D modeling, and considerations for finite element simulation, among others. Likewise, its validation is subject to the analysis of the geometric set designed in the software CAD (SolidWorks®), and later it was evaluated with CFD computational fluid dynamics, in the ANSYS Fluent® software, applying the K-ε turbulence model in an ´Achievable Way´ . To ensure that the simulation model is correct and to obtain higher precision in the heat transfer domain. Regarding the DAQ system, it consists of following pre-established steps, the same as with the help of two programs, Arduino® and LabVIEW®, temperature data was obtained in real time that allowed analyzing the thermal operation of the heat exchangers and their subsequent comparison with results obtained from thermal simulation. In addition, a LabVIEW® interface of the entire bench of practices was created, said creation allows simulating the entire steam distribution process.
