Currently, our country is heavily affected by organized crime, which is causing terror to all citizens with new forms of extortion. This situation stems from the increase in the crime rate in the country; the rising number of extortion- related crimes has reached alarming levels that require stricter penal treatment. Therefore, this research aims to compare different approaches adopted by countries like El Salvador and Colombia, as they have implemented different measures and actions in their legislation regarding the criminal offense of extortion, compared to our country. In the current course of this work, materials and methods are applied to conduct research, including interviews and surveys with legal professionals. |

In the current course of this work, materials and methods are applied to conduct research, including interviews and surveys with legal professionals.El presente Trabajo de Integración Curricular se titula “Estudio jurídico, doctrinario y de derecho comparado con los países de El Salvador y Colombia; en el contexto del tratamiento penal de la extorsión en el Ecuador.” y su interés por investigar y realizar un estudio jurídico debido a que se evidencia la vulneración de ciertos bienes jurídicos como el derecho a la vida, a la integridad física y el patrimonio de los ciudadanos del Ecuador, ya que en la actualidad nuestro país está siendo fuertemente golpeado por la delincuencia organizada, la misma está causando terror a todos los ciudadanos con nuevas modalidades de extorsión. Esta situación se deriva del incremento del índice de criminalidad que existe en el país, el aumento del número de casos de delitos cometidos por extorsión ha alcanzado cifras alarmantes que requieren de un tratamiento penal más estricto, para ello esta investigación va orientada a comparar diferentes posturas que han adoptado países como El Salvador y Colombia, ya que han implementado en sus legislaciones, medidas y acciones diferentes a nuestro país frente el tipo penal de la extorsión.
