Como sobrellevan el cáncer los niños y niñas en la ciudad de loja y la intervención del trabajador social frente a este entorno en el año 2014-2015

The research carry out on boys and girls with cancer of Oncopediatric area of the UNIDAD MÉDICA SOLCA NÚCLEO DE LOJA, was done following the scientific method steps, allowing me identify the reality and problems of the investigated group. The results of the same have served as a guideline for establishing criteria centered on the reality itself, which later served as a basis and justification to elaborate an intervention proposal. Sharing experiential moments in the investigative context, is necessary participate how awesome was to see these children, in spite of they age and disease, how they fight harder to live, how they overcome battles each day of their life. Is notorious the responsibility for endure cancer, they never give up, showing on their faces a smile that provide people a life lesson breaking the paradigms of the disease. The state of mind of each child varies, some are happy, sad and angry, this happened for the advancement of their illness and the pain that it causes, not all days are able to perform some activity, however despite its weakness the game is the essential part that keeps them truly dynamic. The treatment which they submit is very painful, these are harder phases of hospitalization that they have to pass and this is the reason why they can´t study in a school , something that is worrying as children must be in an active educative level that could help with their motricity . Is necessary to highlight the 6 importance that has father, mother and Siblings support to the infants, who face the situation by encouraging and sharing phases of the disease. Nowadays exist the necessity to have a comprehensive vision of the treatment given to the cancer patient taking into consideration that throughout the research has revealed the necessity in patient and family , to be assisted by social workers professionals, that allows them to mitigate the impacts caused by the presence of cancer on a family member. In this perspective the consolidation of an integrative intervention will contribute decisively to improve cancer care, where the Social Work aims to take care of all those social shortcomings that have been aggravated or caused by the disease, starting from a diagnostic assessment, together with those affected, to enable them to develop proposals for action that generate in the patient and/or family adaptation during the disease process and avoid, to the extent possible, the imbalance. However it is necessary to mention that our intervention goes beyond this, during the healing process that took long periods in the life of the patient and the investigation has identified two fundamental aspects for the optimum development of their life, having taken our operated from two perspectives the playful that leads to balance the self-esteem of patient - family and education that prevents the delay in their academic preparation. To comply with the raised proposes a synergetic process that involves different institutions of the locality, which aims to maintain the hope to win the fight against cancer in boys and girls of Loja city, contributing the quality life improvement of these people brittle in their health.
