Beskrivelse
Summary:This research work was conducted in the community of Las Huertas, located at the extreme south - eastern Guachanama parish, belonging to the valley Casanga, Paltas Canton, Loja Province, a distance of approximately 38 km from the regional town of Catacocha - direction of Macara. Has an irregular topography and is located at an altitude ranging between 985 and 1200 meters, the main production activity of the agricultural population. The main objective of this research was to "contribute to efficient irrigation management through design, evaluation and handcrafted construction of a device that optimizes the delivery of water to the plot", for which the following objectives were developed: a) Building irrigation three devices with different arrangements of holes, that optimize the delivery of water to the plot; b) To evaluate the hydraulic characteristics of the devices related to irrigation: flow device width wetting and uniformity of application; c) Share the results of research work to members of the community. The fieldwork spanned from July 2012 to March 2013; was developed within the scientific research, and its a prospective, descriptive, quantitative, qualitative, analytical and interpretive study. Devices or types of irrigation pressure were evaluated: T1 (Cruz); T2 (Up Three roll); and T3 (Three roll Down) thereof consisting of 20 to 14 holes in total; functioned in three pressures (P1 = 10 mca, mca and P2 = 8 P3 = 6 mca) subsequently to three heights (H1 = 0.40 m, 0.60 m H2 = H3 = 1 m) on a rotating basis. The results show that the best uniformity of application is 70% corresponds to T3, the lowest rainfall of 37 mm / h respect to T2, and the highest of 97 mm / h. The best wet surface is 38 m2 it is for the T2. The best flow rate is 0.54 l / s which falls to T1 and the best depth of water is 0.32 m which depends on the T2. Keywords: device province of Loja, hydraulic characteristics.
