Achoimre:This research objective was to analyze the water quality of the Pambay River through the identification of macroinvertebrates and the physical chemical and microbiological analysis; Based on this, create a propose of Environmental Management Plan. The applied methodology was the BMWP rate (Biological Monitoring Working Party), ETP (Ephemeroptera, Trichoptera and Plecóptera Rate), the Descriptive and Documental Method. The Field research consisted in stablishing three places for sampling (the water catchment Palestine, Pambay River and Puyo Pambay River Union) in three different dates with three repetitions in each place. In addition to the physical, chemical and microbiological analysis of the water according to the Annex number I of the Unified Text of Environmental Legislation (TULAS), we collect 630 samples distributed in 10 orders and 17 families. Once developed the identification of macroinvertebrates was available to determine and analyze at first the quality of water (water catchment Palestine) which belongs to the acceptable second category with 78 in the BMWP rate, which means “slightly polluted” water. The second place (Pambay River) is in the third category called “doubtful”, with 60 in the BMWP rate, showing moderately polluted water. In the third place (Pambay and Puyo River Union) is in fifth category what means “very critic”, with 14 in the BMWP rate, showing strongly polluted water, concluding that water is of bad quality according to the ETP and the physical, chemical and microbiological parameters, specifically in fecal coliforms
