| Yhteenveto: | It is important the morpho agronomic characterization and evaluation of the agronomic performance of native species to ensure food security and sovereignty of the population in this case of the province of Loja and therefore the country knowing about new species, their characteristics and benefits. In the present study, 19 populations of native potatoes were located and collected in the inter-Andean zone of Loja province. For ex situ conservation, the different genotypes were characterized by means of a descriptor during flowering as indicated therein, and agronomic variables such as yield, tuber weight, tubers per silver, height, phenology, susceptibility to pests and diseases and number of total anthocyanins in the colored potatoes were evaluated. Yield varied between 1.33 and 26.33 ton ha-1, tuber weight between 0.2 and 11.97 kg, number of tubers per plant between 2.53 and 28.77, height between 40.20 and 76.88 cm, total anthocyanins between 300.06 and 5 304.94 mg/100g of skin, in addition to identifying Diabrotica sp. and Phythopthora sp. as the main pests and diseases. And a correlation analysis between the variables under study with a relationship between tuber weight and number of tubers/plant (r= 0.71) and between number of tubers/plant with yield (r=0.67), as well as between tuber weight with yield (r= 0.94).
