Description
Summary:Bullying refers to intentional behavior of aggression, harassment or intimidation that occurs in the school environment. This phenomenon can be verbal, psychological, physical or sexual, and usually has a negative impact on the victim, affecting their emotional, social and academic welfare. In response to the growing problem of bullying that occurs in different educational institutions, it was proposed to develop and implement a web system to manage and monitor reports of bullying at Lauro Damerval Ayora Educational Unit. To meet the objectives set, three stages were executed: Analysis and elicitation of requirements through interviews, surveys and document review. The second stage involved the design and development of the web system using the XP methodology, the 4+1 model and Python, Django and PostgreSQL tools. The third stage included the implementation of the system in a real environment, executing performance, usability, acceptance and satisfaction tests. The results showed that the system's performance was rated as "excellent" by 50% and "good" by the other 50% of respondents, in its function of supporting the process of managing and monitoring bullying reports, reducing the time from 45 minutes to 10 minutes. The effectiveness in the use of the system reached 94.55% according to DECE's evaluation, and obtained 85.40% approval by members of the Educational Unit. By having an automated record of the cases, the web system allows the identification of recurrent events through statistical data for prevention and response in less time. Finally, it was determined that the web system implemented at Lauro Damerval Ayora Educational Unit improves communication between students and educational staff, allowing them to report incidents and request assistance, thus benefiting the Student Counseling Department, students and the institution.
