| Sumari: | Studies by World Health Organization (WHO) says that the Cardio Vascular Disease (CVD) are the leading cause of death worldwide. Each year more people CVD than from any other cause die. (World Health Organization, 2015). The objectives were to determine the level of knowledge of Basic Life Support (BLS / BLS) staff of the General Hospital Isidro Ayora, knowing who have some sort of knowledge about BLS / BLS among health personnel and support of Isidro Ayora Hospital, measuring by questionnaire according to the responses depending on the staff to which it belongs and propose a training plan or update by the working group of staff. The study proposed in this research, was descriptive, cross-sectional quantitative, during the period from December 2015 to June 2016. Isidro Ayora made in the Regional Hospital of Loja, aimed at health professionals are doctors, nurses, nursing assistants and interns, with a sample of 226 who were administered the questionnaire knowledge of Basic Life Support; The information was collected by working groups on call, and the data was tabulated according to what I needed. In the analysis I noticed that mostly knew about the SVB but were not at standard levels for proper procedure of this, doctors and interns were those who took the highest score while nursing assistants had deficits; the errors found is because they are not constantly updated as it has been shown that learning is optimized when theoretical work is constantly practice every 6 months to 1 year. So it is advisable to have continuous training and implementation of protocols to guide personnel to correct and successful act to their environment. |
