Miêu tả
Tóm tắt:The current study evaluated the association of the anuran community and the relation they have in the restoration of ecosystems, determining the progress of restoration through anurans species, in three levels of conservation (conserved, restored and degraded zone) in the private reserve “El Madrigal” in the Southern Region of Ecuador. For sampling, the standardized method for the study and monitoring of herpetofauna called visual encounter survey was applied. The sampling was carried out during 36 effective days, distributed in three months (April, May and June), registering 286 individuals belonging to 9 species of genus Pristimantis. To analyze the relationship between the diversity of anurans and the conservation levels, there were done non-parametric statistical tests. Differences were found in the abundance and dominance of species, showing the degraded area is low in relation to the number of species and anuran individuals. With the modified methodology of Villarreal et al. (2006), it was proposed Pristimantis cf phoxocephalus as a potential indicator of ecological restoration. Statistical analysis showed difference in morphological of Pristimantis lymani, P. cf phoxocephalus and Pristimantis sp nov, variability that might respond to the diet, habitat. Key words: biological indicators, anurans, Pristimantis cf phoxocephalus, conservation areas.
