Therefore, by adapting the indicators of the Common Market of the South (MERCOSUR), information was obtained on the level of banking, resulting in no banking in the parish of Vilcabamba, which belongs to the Loja canton. This is a consequence of distrust and misinformation about the benefits of the financial system in Ecuador. Having said this, we conclude that it is of vital importance to design strategies that contribute to the start-up of the financial system in Ecuador.
