| Izvleček: | The main objective of this Curricular Integration Work was to determine the effect of physical exercise on the development of flexibility in sixth grade EGB students of Mercedes de Jesús Molina High School. It was a mixed study, of quasi-experimental design and correlational scope. A sample of 27 students was obtained with whom the research was developed. Initially, the survey instruments and the pre-test were applied to evaluate their initial physical condition and to obtain indispensable information for the design of an activity plan. Based on the results obtained, an activity plan was implemented, structured in 20 classes, with a total of 40 hours, whose purpose was to promote the development of flexibility. In addition, the observation technique was used to record in a detailed and precise manner the development of each of the proposed activities. As a final part, a post-test was applied to evaluate progress. Through the comparison between the results of the Pre-test and the Post-test, the following was obtained: in the first Wells and Dillon test, favorable results were identified in the flexibility of the lower part of the body in both genders, where an increase from 20% (Pre-test) to 70% (Post-test) in boys and an increase from 0% (Pre-test) to 23.53% (Post-test) in girls was highlighted, this in the parameter of good. The second-deep flexion test used to evaluate the general flexibility of the trunk identified an important development, as well as the shoulder elevation test. Finally, it was concluded to determine a significant increase in the general flexibility of the trunk, shoulders and hamstrings in the students, the results of the tests support a positive development in their flexibility and highlight the importance of promoting physical exercise.
