Sammanfattning:This action research study was focused on the use of games as a strategy to improve the speaking of the 10th year students at ¨Educare School¨. Seven sessions were carried out to improve the skill using the games. Researcher’s made tests and questionnaires were used to measure the students’ progress and perception of the usage of games for speaking. Furthermore, instruments like field diaries were also used in order to evaluate the students’ improvement. The findings indicated that the use of games helped the improvement of the students’ speaking which was reflected in the gradual increase of the posttest scores and students’ progress during the intervention. The answers received from the questionnaires also confirmed the interest and positive attitude toward working with speaking. It is concluded that this study helped the students to increase their speaking and the researcher to practice her teaching skills.
