Summary:The purpose of this research is to describe the relationship between Project Based Learning and the teaching-learning process in the subject of Mathematics. It was methodologically based on a mixed approach with descriptive significance. To obtain data the checking in technique was used, the survey and instruments such as the information logbook, bibliographic and content cards and questionnaires were used. Timelines and statistical tables were used for data processing. Through the documentary review and the empirical data, it was possible to obtain and discuss the results, thus it was possible to conclude that Project Based Learning is related to the teaching-learning process due to the constructivist approach. It was determined that students and teachers of Mathematics still require training of Project Based Learning, for this reason its implementation is promoted through a methodological guide.
