Primeros auxilios y soporte vital básico a los estudiantes de Primero y Segundo Año de Bachillerato Paralelo "D" del Colegio Beatriz Cueva de Ayora de la ciudad de Loja.

The objective of this research was to investigate the level of knowledge on first aid and basic life support in students of first and second year of secondary school, parallel "D" of the College Beatriz Cave of Ayora of the city of Loja. The research work was of a descriptive, cross-sectional and prospective, field and intervention. For obtaining the data, it was used a questionnaire of 15 multiple-choice questions that was applied to 17 students. The collected data allowed to conclude that the students have an inadequate level of knowledge of the issues relating to first aid and basic life support, mentioning that in the initial assessment test was obtained a 49,01% of correct answers and in the final evaluation test a 96,44 per cent answered correctly, increasing a 47,43% the level of knowledge. By which was carried the intervention, aimed at training on first aid and basic life support to the participants of the research work which consisted of theoretical and practical classes, using educational materials and audiovisual materials. Through which you chose two students of the parallel "D" to form part of the brigade of the College, which record with the implements and the training necessary to provide assistance in any emergency that is present in the institution and in their community.
