The methods used for the preparation of this research work were: Scientific, inductive-deductive, analytic-synthetic and Statistical Model, the same that served effectively help to achieve the proposed goal. The techniques and instruments used were: a survey of parents of school children, first grade of basic education of the Fiscal School "Dr. Camilo Gallegos Dominguez "parish Nueva Loja Region Lago Agrio, Sucumbios province, to establish the kind of family and an Observation applied to school children, first grade of basic education of the Fiscal School" Dr. Camilo Gallegos Dominguez "parish Nueva Loja Region Lago Agrio, Sucumbios province, to assess school performance. We conclude that: The parents surveyed believe that the causes that affect the poor school performance of their children are family conflicts, lack of motivation, extended working hours and lack of intellectual preparation of parents. Parents believe that the two most important educational role to be fulfilled is the direction indicators to guide them to their children, and the requirement for a counselor to support them in the familiar direction. Concerning Observation Guide for evaluating school performance, the children got a very satisfactory school performance, low percentage Satisfactory; and a minimum percentage Unsatisfactory.
