Implicaciones de la Presencia de Vendedores Ambulantes en el centro de la Ciudad de Loja, Primer Trimestre 2019

This research is part of the sequel to the P0-DI-FJSA-UNL research project called “Effectiveness of the Municipal Regulation of Street Sales in the city of Loja”. And it intends to determine the implications that cause the presence of street vendors in terms of repercussions or consequences (Royal Spanish Academy, 2019) caused to the different actors that are involved in the different problems identified, thus establishing the implications of each one of them provoking each of the actors involved. In order to determine which population to be focused on, the research has taken into consideration that all the people who live in the Loja canton in some way or another transit through the central part of it, which is why it has been considered pertinent to participate as a sample for the realization of this investigation, with the purpose of having a broad vision of the most important problems generated by the presence of street vendors. The population under study considers all the people who live in the urban and rural Loja canton who in some way or another transit through the central part of it in the study period, therefore the sample of this research, represents said population and has the purpose of obtaining primary information and a broad vision of the most important problems generated by the presence of street vendors in the first quarter of 2019. This research also used the information generated in other research related to the initially mentioned project, especially the databases related to the study “Space, power, collective action and subjectivity City in dispute, the crisis of relations between the state and society "And" Social Equity Gaps in the Street Vendors of the City of Loja during the First Quarter of 2018 ", which provided information with which it was 5 possible to use the generated databases that served as input for the fulfillment of the objectives set , thus being a complementary investigation to other topics already addressed on street vendors. The methodology consisted of managing the available bibliographic information, the adaptation and updating of databases, as well as the public opinion collected between the population sample of people who pass through the center of the city of Loja and the generation of unpublished databases. designed for the fulfillment of the objectives, to establish each of the problems and with which the index of hierarchy of problems proposed in the methodology was prepared, which allowed the inclusion of each of the analyzes that were performed for the elaboration of said index and subsequently it was possible to determine the insecurity, ornamentation, mobility and unhealthiness according to the priority of each and the actors involved, to whom their characteristics could also be established. As a complementary part of this investigation, public opinion was consulted about the policies implemented by the public sector in this case, the Municipality of Loja itself, which has exclusive powers in terms of management in their respective jurisdiction. As a final part, using the information obtained and generated in the investigative process, the implications that generate the presence of street vendors given to each of the actors within the identified problems were established.
