Descripció
Sumari:This document seeks to highlight the role of the guitar in the practice of composition and its importance as a supporting instrument in the creation of arrangements for various instrumental formats. The main objective is to develop a portfolio consisting of seven compositions designed for guitar and voice that have been arranged for different ensembles. The aim is to take advantage of the instrument’s capabilities, such as its harmonic and rhythmic, as well as melodic potential, for orchestrating the pieces while exploring sounds related to jazz and fusion, as well as Latin American rhythms such as Candombe and Bossa Nova. Additionally, it aims to create an artistic repertoire that serves as a reference for upcoming Ecuadorian musicians and inspires new generations. The artistic product has seven original works created exclusively for guitar and voice, arranged so they can be accompanied by various instrumental ensembles, such as: wind bands, symphony orchestras, string quintets, and others. The pieces are: Por supuesto, Candombe corto para escapar, Apaixionado, La Compañía, César Borja, Tamara, and Extrañar. The compositions will also be sequenced for presentation in audio format. This project is dedicated to fostering musical innovation through the fusion of tradition, diverse formats, and styles to enrich the Ecuadorian musical repertoire. Keywords: Guitar, Voice, Jazz, Arrangements, Original Work
