Riassunto:Ecuador is a multiethnic and multicultural country that makes it a jewel for visitors, attracted by the diversity of people and customs. (Radio Turismo Ecuador, 2019). Cultural tourism has been incorporated into the country as a means to take advantage of the mega cultural diversity that it has, so that those involved in this activity are those main sectors of cultural and social activities identifying a particular place, such as parties religious, ways of life, customs, architectural works such as churches, which largely enclose the history of a community. The parish of Malacatos is one of the 13 rural parishes of the Loja canton, recognized for its pleasant climate, its agriculture, its customs, its gastronomy as the fry, typical dish that was declared as intangible cultural heritage of Ecuador, by the National Institute of Cultural heritage. (Decentralized Autonomous Government of the Parish of Malacatos, 2015) For this reason, this research aims to formulate a proposal to touristically enhance the parish of Malacatos from ancestral knowledge, which is complemented by three specific objectives; the first aimed at establishing a diagnosis of the tourist situation, the second to identify ancestral knowledge and the third to determine strategies for the potentialization of ancestral knowledge of the Parish of Malacatos, Loja canton. For whose development research techniques were used such as direct observation and interviews with key informants, focused on the diagnostic methodology of the author Carla Ricaute Quijano (2009), the methodology of inventory and ranking of tourist attractions of the Ministry of Tourism (2018) , which was supported with the Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the location of the tourist attractions and ancestral knowledge identified by the coordinate system, and the SWOT analysis, to determine the strategies to be developed. Giving as a result the proposal of a cultural tourist route called “Malacatos, sweet tradition”, which is focused on gastronomic, social and medicinal ancestral knowledge, and for whose promotion the design of a tourist guide, an advertising stand for participation was determined in local and external fairs and the creation of a promotional page of the route on Facebook and Instagram. Through the execution of this proposal, direct and indirect contribution will be made to the revitalization of the local economy, the strengthening of ancestral knowledge and respect for cultural diversity. However, for the development of this proposal, the integrated work of public and private institutions such as the Decentralized Autonomous Government of the Parish of Malacatos, as a local regulatory entity, is recommended, in addition to obtaining the expected results it is important to work on training in topics of service to the tourist and related, to those involved and in internal and external promotion to the parish.
