Resumo:We performed a prospective study of type, and descriptive, transverse in patients diagnosed with diabetic foot syndrome in the Hospital Isidro Ayora of Loja in the areas of outpatient and hospitalization with the objective of determining, which are the main infectious agents; care and treatment. The sample consisted of60patients who attended during the months of March to August, 2013, in whom take tissue sample for culture and sensitivity, and thus identify the main infectious agents and antibiotic sensitivity levels, results that determined the antimicrobial treatment to be followed. The study indicates that the main infectious agent found is E. coli with a 30 %, followed by a 20 per cent by Pseudomona Aeureginosa, and S. aureus, in relation to the main complication is amputation treated with 21.6%, indicating that comprises one or several fingers, as well as end portions or complete joint. In regard to pharmacological treatment, 100% of patients received antimicrobial, empirically that then, with the results of crops and antibiograms was determined, the antibiotics to be used, having greater prevalence cephalexin in the outcome of the first study with a 10 %.
