Relación entre el valor de hematocrito capilar y el tiempo actual de clampeo del cordón umbilical, según la norma actual del MSP en RNaTPAEG sanos, en la ciudad de Loja, en los meses de mayo a octubre del año 2014.

This is a cross-sectional descriptive study, which was determined by how much influence the technique appropriate cord clamping in hematocrit of healthy term infants in the city of Loja; The value achieved hematocrit was established and that percentage increases it, for which we collected 400 capillary hematocrit, two samples per infant, who met the inclusion criteria, procedure was made when they were 8 to 12 hours of life , noting the importance of complying with this ruling because it would avoid in the future the development of anemia, since the wait for 2-3 minutes to clamp the cord, increased blood volume and largest reserves of iron is achieved. As a result an average of 63%, which is unchanged when clamping the umbilical cord to the second or third minute was obtained; in the time of making the determination of the hematocrit by doing 8 hours the value that is repeated is 63% and at 12 hours 60%, in relation to sex found that in male was higher by 1% relative to the female and also found that 6 cases of polycythemia corresponds to 3%. Results that support the positive short-term effect of the application of the appropriate standard of cord clamping and should apply throughout nursing home where deliveries are met.
