Descripció
Sumari:The present work has analyzed the importance of games in gross motor skills in children from 4 to 5 years old. The non-experimental research design and the mixed-type approach were used; on the other hand, the descriptive, analytical-synthetic, and inductive-deductive methods were applied. Furthermore, the interview directed to the classroom teacher, and the Abbreviated Development Scale (ADS-1) by Nelson Ortiz applied to the children were used as a technique and evaluation instrument. The population studied was one teacher and 15 children from 4 and 5 years old. The results obtained indicate that 34% of kids are at an alert level and 53% at a medium level. This shows that the majority of them have not managed to acquire a complete development in their gross motor skills, for which an activity guide with games called "At the sound of movement" was designed, focused on strengthening gross motor skills in children to encourage them to practice motor skills enjoyably and funnily
