Summary:Alcohol consumption among adolescents has increased in recent years, and has become an issue of great concern due to its negative effects on the behavior and well-being of young people. What begins as an exploration or curiosity on the part of adolescents, often becomes an ingrained habit that interferes with their physical, emotional and social development, in addition to the main factors for which they consume alcohol are the lack of supervision of parents or representatives, migration, family pressure, influences of friends or acquaintances. Therefore, we analyzed the consequences of alcohol consumption in adolescents assisted by the DINAPEN department of the National Police of Cuenca Canton, in the current period. DINAPEN agents have intervened in the cases of adolescents who have problems with alcohol consumption, following up with the aim of ensuring their welfare. The main objective of the research is to analyze the consequences of alcohol consumption in adolescents assisted by the DINAPEN department of the National Police of Cuenca Canton, in the current period. In order to learn more about the problem, a mixed methodology has been considered through an interview and the Audit Test, in which the adolescents indicate that they have been consuming alcohol since they were 15 years old and their family members are aware of it and see it as “normal”. Family pressure and dysfunctional family dynamics often play a key role in this phenomenon, leading to the destabilization of family relationships and the emergence of conflicts in the community. As results of the instruments applied, it was found that 53% of adolescents never drink alcoholic beverages, 40% once or less than once a month, 7% of adolescents scored two to four times a month. It is essential to continue with intervention actions and offer a comprehensive approach to help adolescents overcome this addiction and reduce it for their well-being
