Obstetric clinical practices such as fetal monitoring are essential to reduce fetal and maternal morbidity and mortality rates, for this reason, it is a basic requirement in health faculties that have simulation areas, the implementation of didactic material for the correct learning of medical practice. For this reason, a descriptive, prospective cross-sectional cohort study was developed with the objective of implementing a simulation workshop on the performance of Fetal Monitoring directed to the students of the ninth-cycle of the Medicine career of the National University of Loja, for which a teaching practice guide and a video were elaborated as educational resources, a simulation workshop was given to finally evaluate the knowledge they acquired through the application of the Structured Objective Clinical Evaluation. The evaluation was applied to a sample of 30 students obtained from a Universe of 63 students of the 9th cycle of medicine who met the inclusion standarts. The following results were obtained: 30% of the participating students obtained a very good score, followed by 36.66% with a good score; 13.33% showed a regular development of their skills and 20% with an outstanding score.
