Summary:The general objective of this research work was to improve the English speaking through the use of dialogues. The scientific, the descriptive, the analytic-synthetic and the statistical methods helped to make the analysis and process the information obtained. Tests and questionnaires were applied to twenty-five students of eighth year of Basic Education at the beginning and at the end of the intervention plan to determine their speaking level in English and their perception of the use of dialogues in the classroom. The results demonstrated that students increased considerable their level of speaking in fluency, accuracy, pronunciation and Comprehension. It is concluded that the use of dialogues as a technique was effective in improving speaking skills. It motivated students to participate in the performing the oral communication activities and sharing each other.
