| Gaia: | The general objective of this study was to analyze savings and its dynamics among students of the Legal, Social and Administrative Faculty of the Universidad Nacional de Loja, using research tools that made it possible to formulate several strategies aimed at promoting a culture of savings among students. In correspondence to the proposed objectives, a methodology was used according to the proposed problem, with a quantitative approach, bibliographic review and survey techniques, aimed at a population of 3,583 students belonging to the Legal, Social and Administrative Faculty. The main results of the survey show that undergraduate students have some knowledge of the savings culture, and practice it at an average level with a percentage of 69.45%, this occurs because their average expenses are similar to their income, causing only a low percentage to allocate resources to savings, determining that students belonging to the careers of: Law, Accounting and Auditing and Business Administration, practice in a better way the habit of saving, having an average of $5 monthly, taking into account that the main factors that delimit the habit of saving in university students are: the place of origin, unstable sources of income, high expenses, family burdens and ignorance of saving methods, which allowed formulating different key strategies that help students to improve their culture and thus reaching the conclusion that university students do possess the habit of saving, and it does not differ from any gender. |
