Shrnutí:This thesis had overall objective is to enhance the artistic skills of the children of the eighth year basic education school "José Ángel Palace" No. 2 in the city of Loja, through choral singing. The methodological research design is framed on the principles of action research, the methods used were scientific, analytical, deductive and inductive-statistical thereof that were accompanied by techniques such as survey and interview. The population consisted of 25 people divided between the director of the school, the music teacher and 23 students from the eighth year basic education. The process used to develop the work was first through a hearing where the members of the proposal is selected, then proceeded to choose the repertoire and arranged through a schedule the whole process of musical work. As a result the formation of a choral group that allowed it to develop the skills and musical skills of each participant was obtained. Among the conclusions we have that the absence of rhythmic auditory sense in students of the eighth year basic education school José Ángel Palaces, fails to develop their musical skills, and its recommendation is recommended that teachers of the institution, update their knowledge so that you can develop in each student the rhythmic auditory sense.
