总结: | The objective of this reserach was to evaluate the effect of low levels of raw fiber on productive and digestive parameters in guinea pigs type 1A (Cavia porcellus), using “alfalfa” (Medicago sativa) as a source of fiber. In this investigation, One hundred and sixty (80 males and 80 females) 15-day-old guinea pigs. They were separated in groups of 10 animals (experimental unit) with four repetitions for each treatment. The experiment was developed under a completely randomized design with a two-by-two factorial arrangement. For that, iso-protein diet and iso-energetic diet were prepared. The first one was prepared with 8,5% CF and the second one was prepared with 9,1% CF. Four repetitions were tested: 8,5% CF males and females and 9,1% CF males and females. The diets were supplied “ad libitum”. The animals were sacrificed to record digestive parameters on the 49th day of experimentation (one animal per experimental unit). The total digestive tract, stomach, small intestine, large intestine and blind were weighed. In addition, the small intestine, large intestine was measured and the pH of the cecum and stomach was valued. As a result, the diet formulated with 9,1 % CF showed the best productive parameters in males and females guinea pigs because at the end of experimentation this group achieved a greater weight. The studies showed evidence that no one of the diets caused significant changes anatomically and physiologically level. In addition, there was a correlation between several digestive organs such as: small intestine, large intestine and blind with the total weight of the digestive tract and mortality is related to the components of the diet also.
