This situation triggers that mortality is higher, considered an important factor in this outcome, but is also associated with increased morbidity. To determine malignant tumors of gastrointestinal epithelial nature of stomach and colon. The methodology uses is the descriptive research, carried out in 78 patients of the Hospital Manuel Ygnacio Monteros who have been diagnosed with cancer to level gastric, colorectal , for the data collection form was used a previously prepared; for the assessment of nutritional status was used the tool GP-ESR, in addition it was determined the values of carcinoembryonic antigen of the medical histories, for the appraisal of the clinical stage of the disease was used the TMN and valuation were collected demographic data such as age and sex data has been entered into a database in SPSS for Windows and the results are presented in simple tables, we obtained percentages, chi-square and p-value For statistical significance. The age of the population stood at 60-69 years with the 41 %; on the other hand, the sex the most widespread was male with 56.4 % of the total population. The colon adenocarcinoma moderately differentiated cancer was greater presentation with the 25.6 % and with the same percentage the well-differentiated, after the grouping of diagnoses, 65.3 % of these were colorectal adenocarcinoma and the 34.6 % gastric; the clinical phase had a higher prevalence of stage IV; with the 32.1 % ;after assessment of the nutritional status of the oncologic population it was determined that the 46.2 % was within the category B, specifically suspected malnutrition or moderate malnutrition. The 51.3 % of patients with colorectal and gastric adenocarcinomas showed values of CEA above standard (5 ng /ml). association was found between the clinical stage with nutritional status but not with the values of CEA. Then the Malnutrition in patients with gastric and colorectal adenocarcinomas is towering and depends on the clinical phase of the disease. Key Words: CANCER, ADENOCARCINOMA, NUTRITION, TUMOR MARKER.
