总结:Memory is used to retain information from the past, which involves a process encompassing the ability to encode, store, and retrieve information received and obtained from an experienced event. Therefore, it is important to stimulate memory through verbal activities. This study was conducted to determine how verbal games influence the memory of kindergarten children at Unidad Educativa Dr. Manuel Agustín Cabrera Lozano in Loja city. A mixed-methods approach, including both quantitative and qualitative methods, was used to collect, interpret, and analyze data. The scope of this research was descriptive, which allowed for the analysis of the characteristics and qualities of the subjects under study. The design was quasi-experimental, as it allowed for the verification of the contribution of verbal games to memory. The inductive-deductive and analytical-synthetic methods contributed to the collection of reliable information for the construction of the theoretical framework and to establish conclusions. The instrument used was the TOMAL Memory Test by Reynolds and Bigler, designed for children aged 5 to 6. Upon application, memory difficulties were confirmed, as 59% of children were found to be at low, deficient, and very deficient levels. To mitigate the problems detected, a guide of activities called "Repeating, repeating, we will improve memory," based on verbal games, was implemented. Its effectiveness was verified through post-test results, where it was observed that 55% of children achieved higher and middle-high levels. The conclusion was that the use of these games as a methodological strategy benefited their memory process because improvements were noted in recalling words, phrases, images, and sequences. Key words: attention, linguistic games, play, recall, retention.
