| Zusammenfassung: | Vaccines prevent disease by saving thousands of lives, however, although they are harm less, they bring post-vaccination effects. For this reason, the present research work was proposed with the objective of characterizing the Events Supposedly Attributable to Vaccination and Immunization (ESAVI) in boys and girls from 6 to11 years of age after immunization against COVID-19. The present study was quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive and crosssectional in which 96 children participated; applying a follow-up survey for 8 days-vaccination. The results show in relation to the sociodemographic data, that 53% are men; regarding age, 27% of the students were 9 years old, followed by 11 years with 22% followed by 8 years with 15% of the total population. In the health characteristics it is evident that 78% do not suffer from any previous disease; however, 16% had atopic dermatitis, 3% urticaria, and the remaining 3% hypersensitivity to drugs. In relation to the type of ESAVI, it was found that the most frequent local symptoms were; drowsiness (24%), irritability (18,7%) and general malaise (15,6%). In relation to the duration of the adverse reactions, pain and erythema stand out, which lasted up to 4 days. Finally, regarding management, it was identified that more than half of the caregivers opted for home treatment with analgesics or warm water baths. In conclusion, the post- vaccination adverse effects presented were mostly mild, local and of short duration, presenting symptoms typical of the action of the vaccine |
