| Résumé: | The Popular and Solidarity sector is the central axis of the Ecuadorian economic system based on planning collective activities through a common enterprise. In this context, the general objective of the study is to diagnose the financial sustainability of Popular and Solidarity Economy organizations in the city of Loja. The research was conducted from a qualitative approach, with a descriptive exploratory scope, which consisted in the characterization of the organizations in economic, administrative, market and financial aspects. For this purpose, research techniques were used, such as interviewing the managers of the organizations, in addition to the use of secondary data from studies carried out by the Finance career. Therefore, of the 161 organizations registered in the registry maintained by the Superintendence of Popular and Solidarity Economy for the year 2022, a convenience sampling was carried out due to the research conditions, obtaining a total of surveys applied: 20 service organizations, 20 production organizations and 2 consumer organizations. The results show that the factors that intervene in the financial sustainability of the organizations are: limited access to financing, liquidity management, lack of technology and do not consider important the training of production personnel, they do not participate in the fairs carried out by the municipalities together with the government to make their products known, likewise they do not diversify their sources of income, limiting the development and growth of the organizations in the market. Finally, a qualitative instrument was designed focused on the dimensions of income and financial accounting management. It is concluded that the organizations have members with a low level of education, do not diversify their products, and the product is destined only for the local market; and, of the organizations diagnosed, those in the productive sector are the most vulnerable, since they do not have competitive prices, have limited access to financing, staff training is scarce and they do not have adequate technology for their activity. |
