Samenvatting:This research is aimed at determining adherence and adaptation to new lifestyles Club members diabetics "General Hospital Isidro Ayora. Descriptive statistical-inductive-deductive, analytic-synthetic method was used during the investigation; in order determine the factors that influence treatment adherence in diabetics Club members; investigate the lifestyles that people who belong to the club of diabetics and face; psychoeducational develop a proposal to improve adherence to treatment and ensure adequate lifestyles in the overall health of the patient. According to the most relevant results, we found that the factors hindering adherence are social support and stress, because most of the members said they felt lonely, angry and tense due to his illness. Moreover when analyzing the lifestyles that keep participants of the Club, it was found to have changed for the most part, his habits avoiding alcohol and cigarettes. However there are still difficulties in variables such as nutrition and physical practice exercised. It is recommended that the authorities of the institution, encouraging the collaboration of the Department of Clinical Psychology of the "General Isidro Ayora Hospital" and the implementation of this psychoeducational approach to improving lifestyles and strengthen adherence Keywords: Adherence, Lifestyle, Psychology Proposal.
