| Zusammenfassung: | Throughout the following work, the main objective was to create effective solutions for the neighborhood of El Rosal in the canton and province of Loja by developing participatory activities that allowed its inhabitants to voice their concerns about various problems on a daily basis. The three specific objectives of this research allowed; to promote the organization and participation of the inhabitants through the approach with the neighborhood directive and the elaboration of the observation sheet giving way to the recognition of the problems of the neighborhood such as: contamination of green areas, lack of signage, theft in avenues and homes, among others. This paved the way for the development of collective diagnoses which fulfilled the established objectives, using Citizen Participation as the base theory, which is reflected by a desire to create common solutions that result in a shared action for the benefit of society at large. Accordingly, through surveys, interviews, and workshops with key actors, such as residents of the neighborhood board, household heads, and people over the age of 18, it was found that more than 80% of the inhabitants expressed dissatisfaction because of infrastructure deficiencies, environmental problems, and insecurity, among others. Participants in the neighborhood improvement plan were encouraged to think about the main problems and identify strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats, thus supporting the development of solutions, which was done in collaboration with the community, since the information gathered made it possible to establish strategic lines that provided possible solutions to the problems previously established with the purpose of promoting the development of the community for a good coexistence. |
