| Περίληψη: | This research focused on learning assessment and teaching practice in EGB-S at the Beatriz Cueva de Ayora High School was developed with the objective of describing the learning assessment process as a resource to improve Mathematics teaching practice, characterize the learning assessment process and determine the usefulness of the results for teaching practice. It is of an exploratory-descriptive type with a qualitative approach, it was supported by a documentary review to describe the study variables, an observation card and a questionnaire were elaborated and applied for the collection of information. The results showed that the learning evaluation process is detailed, permanent and clear, contributing in a feasible way to the teaching practice, however, due to the lack of organization and dishonesty in the classroom, there is an absence of co-evaluation of learning, for which reason, instruments were developed for its implementation and thus achieve self-reflection of teaching performance and actively include the student in the evaluation process, thus initiating a culture of evaluation. It is concluded that the evaluation of learning, correctly applied, allows the teacher to identify and improve important and necessary aspects to strengthen the teaching-learning process.
