Summary:The different forms of exploitation especially agriculture, will increasingly growing exponentially in the country in recent years, activities that put the native forest of the Amazon in serious danger for the coming years, according to the FAO´s „Assessment of the Global Forest Resources 2010" projects that the native forest will be reduced annually by 27,000 hectares in the next five years. The inhabitants of the Simon Bolivar Community seeks alternatives to improve production through the expansion of new areas of cultivation, through the acquisition of new production facilities as native forests, a resource that accounts for more than half of the world's biodiversity and have great potential in natural and productive resources. Considering the ecosystemic functions of a native forest and processes of the different agricultural activities, the purpose of this present investigation was to assess the ecosystem services of native forests for replacement by agricultural activities, using the opportunity cost method in Community Colonia Simon Bolivar. For this purpose a diagnosis of crops, forestry and analysis of the valuation of environmental goods, the valuation of environmental amenities and the scenic beauty and environmental service performed native forests. The evaluation was conducted using the opportunity cost method, using the elements of cost of production, gross income and total net income, parameters indicating that it is more profitable ecosystemic conserve resources of a native forest than by replacing agriculture activities
