At present, it is an extremely important resource in the curriculum of a health professional, and has become part of the evaluations used in some countries to grant the Medical License, it has also been widely used in airway training processes, being a necessary technique for general analgesia, and an essential measure for the treatment of critical patients in the emergency department or ICU, but despite this, endotracheal intubation failure occurs in the first attempt in up to 20% and is associated with an increased risk of severe hypoxemia, cardiac arrest and death. For this reason, a qualitative-quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional research was developed with the objective of creating educational resources for learning airway management in simulation aimed at students of Medicine at the National University of Loja, based on a teaching practice guide and a video as educational resources, which were disseminated to students in a practical workshop, after which the Objective Structured Clinical Evaluation was applied, The result was that 44.68% (21 students) obtained a grade of outstanding (10 points) to insufficient (6.88), 9.44% (16 students) with very good and only 6.38% (3 students) obtained a grade of insufficient or failed the exam, which means that more than 75% of the participants passed and mastered the knowledge about the correct technique of endotracheal intubation. The development, implementation and dissemination of educational resources is a new teaching-learning method that breaks with traditional standards, facilitating and improving the quality of education in students and future health professionals

Implica en situar al estudiante dentro de un contexto que intenta aproximarse a la realidad, semejando situaciones en las que debe enfrentarse a individuos sanos o enfermos. En la actualidad, es un recurso sumamente importante en el currículo de un profesional de la salud, además que ha pasado a ser parte de las evaluaciones que se utilizan en algunos países para otorgar la Licencia Médica, también ha sido ampliamente utilizada en los procesos de entrenamiento en vía aérea, siendo una técnica necesaria para la analgesia general, y una medida esencial para el tratamiento de pacientes críticos en el servicio de urgencias o UCI, pero a pesar de esto la falla de intubación endotraqueal ocurre en el primer intento hasta en un 20% y se asocia con un mayor riesgo de hipoxemia severa, paro cardíaco y muerte. Por esta razón se desarrolló una investigación cuali-cuantitativa, descriptiva, de diseño transversal, con el objetivo de crear recursos educativos para el aprendizaje del manejo de vía aérea en simulación dirigido a los estudiantes de la carrera de Medicina de la Universidad Nacional de Loja, basándonos en una guía de práctica docente y un vídeo como recursos educativos, los mismos fueron difundidos a los estudiantes en un taller práctico, posterior al mismo se aplicó la Evaluación Clínica Objetiva Estructurada, conformada por 18 preguntas, la cual evidenció calificaciones desde sobresaliente (10 puntos) hasta insuficiente (6,88), obteniendo como resultado que el 44,68% (21 estudiantes) obtuvieron una calificación de sobresaliente, el 9,44% (16 estudiantes) con muy buena y solo el 6,38% (3 estudiantes) la calificación de insuficiente o reprobaron el examen, es decir que más del 75% de los participantes superaron y dominaron los conocimientos acerca de la técnica correcta de intubación endotraqueal.
