| סיכום: | In recent years, technological evolution and the Internet have ushered in a new era in the audiovisual industry, driving a significant change. This progress has allowed the creation of audiovisual production companies focused on the generation of entertainment content for digital platforms. In this context, the present study aimed to determine whether the population of Saraguro Canton consumes and accepts the audiovisual content generated by the Canton's own audiovisual production companies. The research was carried out using a mixed methodology. Observation was used as an instrument to identify the main audiovisual production companies in the canton and to segment their contents. A survey was applied to the inhabitants of Saraguro Canton, in order to gather information on the level of consumption and acceptance of the contents produced by these local production companies. The results showed the existence of six audiovisual production companies that generate constant content to be disseminated on online channels and social networks. The content created is mainly based on reflection and satire or comedy videos. The survey data did not show that, although there is a considerable level of consumption of audiovisual products made by these production companies, the level of acceptance within the Saraguro canton is low. We can conclude that the inhabitants of the Canton show an unconformity for these contents, this because the inhabitants mostly belong to the Saraguro indigenous nationality, the contents presented make a satire to their culture and identity or present social problems typical of their culture. This makes them not feel identified with the contents of many of the production companies of their canton and prefer external contents.
