We are in a new era, in which customs and habits have changed course, where we are in an incredible technology boom helps us to improve the quality of human life, but also can have a negative impact on the health of humans. Both the quality of nutrition, new transportation, new lifestyles has led people to modify and regulate your metabolism, and are exposed to new forms of risk and reasons why suffer injuries on the apparatus locomotive. What he wants this research study is to know relevant and important aspects of hip fractures and corresponding management that arises for each particular case, and that the medical professional to availability taking new materials and methods of treatment, which is necessary to observe are those most commonly used and that there is greater accessibility to the patient in this disease, which is caused by several causes that exist in the present. Determining the number of patients who had this disease in the Service of Traumatology and Orthopedics Hospital Isidro Ayora, is considerably high and female predominant sex, besides being able to demonstrate and correlate with studies from other countries that the most common type of fracture was the intertrochanteric. However ages dominated this type of fracture in the population group, comprising in the age range of 76 – 90 years, being 38%, and usually remain hospitalized for 6 – 10 days.
